Tricky cases
Must the walls be glass?
No. Any hard, smooth material with an even bounce.
Can I touch the net post?
No. You lose the point.
Why are there doors in the side walls?
For access and, where allowed, play outside.
Can lights be inside the safety area?
If they are, out-of-court play is not allowed.
Why the rule exists
Hard, smooth walls give a uniform bounce so wall play is fair.
