- What happens if a diver stops and starts again?A diver who begins a dive and stops is given a restart, and 2 points are taken off each judge's award for the second attempt.
- What happens when a diver nearly hits the board?If a diver comes unsafely close to the board or platform, or touches the end of it with their head, the most each judge may award is 2 points.

- How does the diving team event work?A team of at least one woman and one man, and no more than four divers, performs six different dives from six different groups.
