The sport and its events

  1. How is yogasana a competitive sport?Yogasana is a judged sport, like gymnastics.
  2. How is the difficulty of an asana counted?Every optional asana sits in one of five categories: forward bend, backward bend, twisting body, leg balance and hand balance.

The traditional event

  1. How does the traditional yogasana event work?The traditional event has three rounds of seven asanas each.
  2. How is a traditional yogasana performance marked?Each asana is marked out of 10 and then multiplied by its base value.
