Para triathlon
Triathlon for athletes with an eligible impairment, run under World Triathlon's competition rules with the added rules of Section 17. Para triathletes may also take part in duathlon and aquathlon, and those in PTS2 to PTS5 may take part in winter and cross multisports.

Bike terms
Bike (para triathlon)
In para triathlon the word bike includes bicycles, tandems and handcycles. Para triathlon races are draft-illegal. A bike is propelled by human force, using arms or legs but not both. Bikes and tandems need an independent brake on each wheel, and the two brakes on a handcycle act on the front wheel.
