Are there team events in para shooting?
A · Advanced · Shooting · 3 of 3A team is three athletes from one NPC, scored by adding their individual scores, with no separate team match. An event needs three teams; with exactly three, only gold and silver are given. Rifle and pistol mixed teams of two follow ISSF formats, and para trap pairs a man and a woman. Every athlete must declare epilepsy before getting a licence.
How it works
- Team: three athletes, one NPC.
- Score: sum of individual scores.
- One team: per event per NPC.
- Minimum: three teams.
- Three teams: gold and silver only.
- Mixed team: two athletes, ISSF format.
- Trap team: one man and one woman.
- Epilepsy: declared; a recent seizure needs approval.
The glossary has the team events (para shooting), the mixed team (para shooting), the para trap, the epilepsy declaration, the recognised competition levels (para shooting) and the SG-S, SG-L and SG-U.
