Tricky cases
A competitor falls, then does the element on a second try. Repetition?
No. The deduction is for the failed attempt only.
The compulsory mount is used in the optional set. Result?
It is not evaluated at all.
Who takes execution deductions?
Every judge, from execution.
Is a slow set penalised?
Speed of the set is part of execution.
Why the rule exists
Execution carries half the score, so a clean, controlled set beats a hard one done badly.
