The race

  1. How long is a BMX track, and how high is the start hill?A BMX track is a closed loop of 300 to 450 metres with at least three turns.

Conduct, results and kit

  1. What are the rules for a BMX race bike?A standard BMX race bike has wheels of no more than 57 centimetres across with the tyres on, the "20 inch" class.
  2. What must a BMX racer wear?A full-face helmet with a visor at least 10 centimetres long, a long-sleeved jersey, long protective pants or shorts with full knee and shin guards, and gloves that cover the fingertips.
