When is no point given in sqay?
I · Intermediate · The Loba fight · 3 of 5Checked 15 October 2026
A lighter blow still earns a full point if it lands as the opponent moves in or loses balance, in a good combination or on a defenceless part. No point is given when both score together, when a blow lands as time ends or when the attacker is inside the area and the opponent outside.
How it works
- Opponent moving in: full point.
- Off balance: full point.
- Combination: full point.
- Back turned: full point.
- Both together: no point.
- At time: no point.
- Opponent outside: no point.
- Grab first: no point.
The glossary has the full point despite a weak blow, the no point (sqay), the controlled contact, the Yaw, the Kakoday and the sudden death (sqay).
