The contest

  1. What are skateboarding judges looking for in a run?Seven things, weighed together into one mark called the overall impression: how difficult the tricks are, how varied, how well executed and landed, how the course is used, whether the skater stays on the board, how the run flows and whether tricks are repeated.

The formats

  1. Can a skater repeat a trick or turn down a score in the trick section?Repeating costs points.
  2. What happens when a skater falls, or when time runs out mid-trick?A trick that is not landed is a bail and earns nothing.
