How a match works, in a minute
How a sepak takraw match works
- Two sides of three players, each called a regu, send a woven ball over a net without using their hands or arms. They may use the feet, knees, chest, shoulders and head.
- Each side has up to three touches to return the ball.
- The tekong serves: a team-mate throws the ball to them, and they kick it over the net from the service circle.
- Every rally scores. A set goes to the first side to 15 points, and a match is the best of three sets.
