Scoring and winning
- How are throws scored in sambo?A throw is scored by whether the attacker stays on their feet, whether the defender started standing or down, and how the defender lands.
- Can you submit someone in sambo?A hold-down pins the opponent on the back, torso to torso; in Sport Sambo 20 seconds scores 4 points and over 10 seconds 2.
- How do you win a sambo bout?A bout ends at once on a perfect throw, a submission, an eight-point lead, the opponent's withdrawal or disqualification, and in Combat Sambo a knockout.
