The game

  1. What is rink hockey?Rink hockey is played on roller skates, usually quads, by two teams of four rink players and a goalkeeper, who use sticks to hit a ball into the opponents' goal.
  2. How is a goal scored in rink hockey?The ball may be played with the stick, or with the skates and legs below the waist, but not lifted above 1.50 m except by a goalkeeper in the area.

Fouls and cards

  1. What do the cards mean in rink hockey?A yellow card is a warning, for faults like diving, jumping the barrier or arguing.

Restarts and results

  1. How is a tied rink hockey match decided?When a match must have a winner, a draw goes to extra time: two halves of 5 minutes (3 for under-15 and under-17), after a 3-minute break, played in full.
