How are CP football groups decided?
I · Intermediate · Competition and eligibility · 5 of 5Groups play each other once: three points for a win, one for a draw. Teams level on points are split by goal difference, goals scored and then the games between them. Only ten goals a match count towards goal difference, though the full score is recorded. A team conduct score, which subtracts points for cards, comes next, then lots.
How it works
- Win: 3 points.
- Draw: 1 point.
- First tie-break: goal difference.
- Then: goals scored, head-to-head.
- Cap: ten goals a match.
- Full result: still recorded.
- Conduct score: minus 1 to minus 5 per card.
- Last resort: drawing lots.
The glossary has the group stage and points, the goal difference cap, the team conduct score, the extra time, the final list and start list and the abandoned matches.
