The battle

  1. Is there an age limit in breaking, and what is expected of the breakers?The adult group is for breakers who turn 19 or older in the calendar year, and the youth group for those turning 16, 17 or 18.

Judging and penalties

  1. What can get a breaker disqualified?Misbehaviour, which covers physical contact with the opponent and obscene, abusive, racist or violent gestures.
  2. What happens if a breaker is injured, late or cannot finish a battle?A breaker who cannot finish a battle loses it.
  3. Who runs a breaking competition?The Chair supervises the competition and is the only one who can confirm a disqualification.
