- How do you win the hammer throw?The hammer throw is won by the longest valid throw.
- When does a touch on the rim make the throw a failure?Once the athlete has stepped into the circle and begun the throw, touching the top of the rim or the ground outside it with any part of the body is a failure.
- What makes a landing good?The head of the hammer must first land inside the two white lines of the sector, which open out from the centre of the circle at 34.92 degrees.
