What are the classes in para dance sport?
B · Beginner · Events and classes · 3 of 3There are six sport classes: SC1 and SC2 for combi standard, SD1 and SD2 for duo standard and L&F1 and L&F2 for Latin, singles and freestyle. Class 1 is for more severe impairment, class 2 for less. A duo's class comes from adding both dancers' assessment scores: under 50 is class 1. Small class 1 fields may dance with class 2.
How it works
- SC1, SC2: combi standard.
- SD1, SD2: duo standard.
- L&F1, L&F2: Latin, singles, freestyle.
- Class 1: more severe impairment.
- Class 2: less severe.
- Duo score: under 50 is class 1.
- Small fields: class 1 may join class 2.
- Ranking points: still by own class.
