How a netball match works

1. Netball is played seven a side on a court split into thirds. Each position, such as Goal Shooter or Wing Defence, is limited to set areas of the court.
2. A player holding the ball may not run with it, and must pass or shoot within three seconds.
3. Only the Goal Shooter and Goal Attack may score, and only from inside the goal circle. A goal is the ball passing right through the ring.
4. Every quarter, and every restart after a goal, begins with a centre pass, taken by the two teams in turn. The team with more goals wins.

How long

Four quarters of 15 minutes.
