The game

  1. How many players are in a kabaddi team?Seven players of each team are on the court at a time.

Raiding and defending

  1. What counts as a touch in kabaddi?A touch is any contact between the raider and a defender, with any part of the body or even clothing or shoes.
  2. What happens if a kabaddi player steps outside the court?A player is out if any part of their body touches the ground outside the boundary.

Fouls, officials and ties

  1. What is a technical point in kabaddi?A technical point is one point given to a team because the other team broke a rule of procedure or conduct.
  2. What do the green, yellow and red cards mean in kabaddi?Kabaddi has three cards.
  3. How many time-outs and substitutions does a kabaddi team get?Each team may take two time-outs of 30 seconds in each half, and the time is added back to the match.
  4. What happens if a kabaddi match ends in a tie?In a knockout match, each team takes five raids, by five different raiders, against a full seven.
