- How many players are in an esports team?A team is its players, substitutes and coach; a VALORANT team fields five players with up to one substitute, and a PUBG team four.
- How are maps picked in esports matches?Before a VALORANT match teams take turns to ban and pick maps from the tournament pool of seven, and the team that did not pick a map chooses its starting side.
During play
- Can esports teams pause a match?In VALORANT each team has two 60-second tactical timeouts a map in regulation and one in overtime, called through the game.
- What happens if a player disconnects in an esports match?If a server, power or internet failure interrupts a VALORANT match, the round is restored to its start.
