- How do you win the high jump?The high jump is won by the athlete who clears the greatest height.
- When is a high jump a failure?A jump fails if the bar comes off its supports because of what the athlete did while jumping.
- Who decides the heights, and may an athlete skip one?The heights are announced before the competition and the bar is raised after each round of trials, by at least 2 cm.
- When is an athlete out of the competition?An athlete is out after three consecutive failures, whatever heights they happened at.
